CWTC is a weekly stop on Friday mornings from 8 to 9 AM for the Tri County Fresh Food Van operated by the gitm Foundation.   CWTC collaborates with  the gitm Foundation which provides opportunities for CWTC consumers to develop ‘green’ job skills through volunteering with the van stop and at the Tri County Fresh Food Hub in East Peoria.  During the van stop, produce is distributed to subscribers to weekly or bi-weekly food shares.  In addition to the distribution of the food shares at the stop, CWTC has produce available from CWTC gardens.  CWTC consumers who volunteer with the van have the opportunity to interact with the public and share information they know about the produce available, some of which was grown by them.  The gitm Foundation also collaborates with OSF dietetic interns from Bradley University.  The interns provide CWTC consumers with nutritional resources and information to sustain a healthy diet.
